Meet Marcy
I’ve been a Real Estate Agent for 20 years and have had my Broker’s license for 17 of them. I am currently the Broker in Charge at United Real Estate, SC, in Lexington, SC. I manage an office of close to 50 agents and am very proud of our Company and the service we provide. We are focused on integrity and excellence, and even as changes have taken place in our industry over the past few years, listening to the needs of the clients and putting their interests first remains the most important part.
I am also a Certified Real Estate instructor, so I stay current on industry changes and SC Real Estate laws.
I am on the board of directors for the Central Carolina REALTOR® Association and also serve on the Grievance and Professional Standards committees for the South Carolina REALTORS® Association.
I work with buyers and sellers in their personal residential Real Estate transactions and investment properties. I love meeting new people, especially when they’re moving here from out of state, as I did in 1990. My husband and I packed everything we owned, loaded two toddlers into a moving truck, and headed south from Ohio, where we were born and raised, so I know what it’s like to drive around lost and not having friends or family close. At least now, we have cell phones and navigation. We were using pay phones and reading a big paper map that never folded the same way twice! We’ve been here 36 years, have raised three children, and now have six grandchildren, and they all live in Lexington.
Lexington and the surrounding areas have so much to offer! Lake Murray is one of the things that brings people to our area. We also have Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens, which is nationally recognized as one of America’s Best Zoos! It’s located in W Columbia, 15 minutes from Lexington. Columbia is about 20 minutes from downtown Lexington, and there’s plenty to do there! The State Museum, Edventure, and Columbia Museum of Art are all popular spots just minutes from The State House.
